College and Career Technical Institute

Christina Young » Welcome!

Welcome!

As the school year has begun, I would like to introduce myself to you all.  I am Miss Young, and I am the Law and Public Safety Instructor.  I was born and raised on the fabulous Mississippi Gulf Coast and graduated from D'Iberville High School many moons ago (#WarriorPride). As for my background, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at William Carey University and I am currently working on my Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice, also from William Carey (#SaderStrong). Prior to college, I have over nine years’ experience as a sworn law enforcement officer for the great State of Mississippi.

I am pleased to have the opportunity to teach at the College and Career Technical Institute and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year!  I am committed to doing everything within my power to make this year successful for all of us.  I look forward to the school year filled with unlimited learning experiences and I am looking forward to teaching, as well as knowing, each student in my class.  I will try to make the classes more interesting so that each student understands and enjoys each topic.  I also hope to make this academic year an educational, in addition to, a fun-filled year for the students.

Together we can make this year the best year possible for your child.  If you would like to meet with me to discuss your child's performance or any other problems that he/she is facing in class, you can feel free to schedule a meeting during my planning block, between 2:20 pm to 3:20 pm.  Apart from this, you can also e-mail me at any time to discuss any concerns you have about your child.

Sincerely,

Miss Christina Young
