Culinary Arts culinary student


This 2-year program prepares students to enter the Hospitality Industry at entry-level positions. These include both the front and back of the house in a variety of settings.


Year 1 students concentrate on commercial kitchen terminology, customer service, food safety, and sanitation, knife skills and food preparation techniques, risk management, job safety, and proper equipment usage.


Year 2 students concentrate on foundations and building blocks of cooking, includes fonds, sauces, cold food prep, advanced cooking techniques, global cuisines, farm fresh to the table, nutrition, employer expectations, and employee readiness, and current trends in the hospitality industry.


Our students can receive ServSafe and/or ProStart Certifications.
