Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow

CTEP

CTEp Mission: To be all inclusive in our Bridge Academies and that includes SPED and ELL. We will work within their IEP to give them the experiences they can do and if they need additional support from a SPED teacher, we happily accept it. Our plan is to expose students to various courses utilizing the inclusive model for SPED and Student Services to support instruction, it will be a great match. CTE programming will provide the hands-on learning that many of the SPED students need and we will start seeing improvements in attendance, behavior and their academic performance by being involved in the Bridge Academies and CTE programming.

CTEp Goal: To develop industry-related students that are able to acquire meaningful/paid employment. Students enrolled in the CTEp program, if recommended by CTEp Coordinator and CTE Instructor, are able to sit for any program specific National Industry Certification. Students who complete the CTEp program, if recommended by CTEp Coordinator and CTE instructor, can take the second year of the CTE program or be recommended for a pre-apprenticeship or apprenticeship if they are a senior.

CTEt Mission: To build on the inclusiveness for CTE by creating a path for potential behavior risk students and students in danger, because of discipline (lack of attendance), of dropping out. The thought is if we can give these students a purpose and let them see a light at the end of the tunnel, maybe this will in turn improve their performance while at the high school.

CTEt Goal: To develop industry-related students that are able to acquire meaningful/paid employment, that is the ultimate goal of this program. These students are in danger of being expelled and if that happens they will be lost. This opportunity would provide a path that eventually leads to employment. Also, by giving students a purpose and setting them up for success, we are hoping to improve their performance academically as well, in terms of behavior and attendance
