Welcome to the College and Career Technical Institute (CCTI). I am excited about the 2016-2017 school year! Our teachers have been hard at work over the summer, attending professional development in Polymer Science, Engineering, Aeronautics, etc., as well as the unending work done by our maintenance and custodial staff preparing our facilities and grounds. In addition, our veteran office staff and counselor have worked tirelessly organizing and preparing for our students.
The CCTI staff is the epitome of a selfless service, and through their work they provide opportunities and resources for all students in our school district. As such, CCTI is grateful to be able to continue offering what we believe is the most comprehensive and diverse career and technical education in the state. In tune with this notion, we have a new program, Sports Medicine, available for our students beginning this fall.
We welcome new staff members, Amy Bustin, Student Services Coordinator; Tykela Hodges, Career Pathways Experience; Lauren Jaynes, Business and Marketing; Christen Johnston, Sports Medicine; Quilesya Odom, Energy; and Stanley Pauls, Carpentry. All are tremendous additions to the CCTI team.
Never resting on our laurels, we have a great deal of work ahead of us as we transition from good to great by facilitating the ever evolving understanding and refinement of student learning while staying abreast of all the changes in the industries that relate to the sixteen programs offered at our center.
We are most fortunate to work in a community that encourages and supports its students and teachers. To all of our parents and stakeholders, I thank you for your continued support and invite you to visit our center.
